At PERTERRA PACKS, we are passionate about finding the right balance between durability and lightness. With this in mind we use the highest quality fabrics on the market to build gear that is going to last years out on the trail, without weighing you down.
Whilst there are lighter weight fabric options on the market we have found that durability and longevity can be compromised. The fabrics we use have been tested for thousands of miles and are some of the best in the business!
X-PAC VX21
The world’s most popular laminated pack fabric. X-Pac® VX21 is a low-stretch, waterproof construction, featuring 210-denier face fabric, and provides an ideal balance of weight and durability. Purposely built for epic adventures and refined everyday style.
Inspired by advanced sailcloth technology, X-Pac® performance laminates are lightweight, durable, and 100% waterproof.

ECOPAK EPX 200
ECOPAK™ is the world’s only durable and waterproof fabric made from 100% recycled polyester fibre and film. Each yard upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles into durable technical textiles.
Based on 35 years of weaving, coating and laminating experience, Challenge’s ECOPAK™ fabric lasts longer, absorbs 80% less moisture, and has better UV resistance and colour retention than traditional laminated nylon. Just like our sailcloth that has been tested around the world, ECOPAK™ performs in the harshest conditions.
